Select the service you're interested in (EAR or ATS) below to view the fees, or download this information in PDF form.

We will only charge you for access to script (ATS) requests where we have dispatched the exam paper. Therefore you can cancel your request up until the exam paper has been dispatched for a full refund.

If you request cancellation of a clerical check (EAR1) or a review of marking (EAR2/EAR2P) after processing of the EAR has begun but before the EAR is completed, we will charge a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the original fee. If we receive a cancellation request after completion of the EAR, the full fee will apply.

Clerical check (EAR1) and review of marking (EAR2/EAR2P) requests

We will not charge centres for these services if the candidate:

  • has been issued an overall grade for the qualification and this changes as a result of the review of marking. The fee for all paper/unit components subject to the EAR review will be waived
  • has not been issued an overall grade for the qualification and their notional unit grade changes as a result of the clerical check.

Review of moderation (EAR3) requests

We will not charge centres for this service if centre marks are reinstated as a result of the review of moderation. In all other cases, the full fee will apply.

Our Enquiry About Results (EAR) services allow you to request us to run additional checks that the grades we've issued your candidates are correct.

Our Access to Script (ATS) services allow you to request copies of your candidates' marked exam papers.

Scripts do not have examiner annotation on them. The marked script allows teachers to evaluate how the student performed on particular questions in relation to what they have been taught; the Principal Examiner's Report and the exemplars that we make available demonstrate how the mark scheme is applied.

Our new Pearson Access to Script self-service online portal allows you to view electronically marked scripts as part of the Enquiries about Results service. The system is web based and facilitates:

  • viewing of electronically marked scripts online
  • printing of scripts in pdf format to be printed or saved and distributed electronically

This Access to Script self-service portal will be available for you to access your candidates’ scripts free of charge for all scripts that have been marked electronically.

It is designed to be a self-service portal, where you can access, view and download your candidates’ scripts in PDF format free of charge.

This portal is accessible via Edexcel Online.

We have also produced a user guide to help guide you through the system.
