Training
We are committed to ensuring that centre staff delivering apprenticeships have access to training and CPD to support them in providing a positive experience for apprentices, and giving them the best opportunity for EPA success.
Whether you are looking for EPA training specific to a standard, broader training around EPA delivery or advice and guidance to support on programme training, we are sure you will find something from our Apprenticeship training offer to meet your needs.
Getting Ready for EPA Training
‘Getting Ready for EPA training’ is designed to support you in preparing your apprentices for end-point assessment (EPA) specific to a standard. The training will explore several topics including: description of the specific assessments within EPA, assessment requirements for each assessment, the grading model and differentiation between different grades, guidance around evidence requirements and quality of evidence.
This training will assist you in providing the advice and guidance apprentices need to ensure that they are feeling confident and are well prepared for their EPA. Sessions are available as both live training sessions and, coming soon, recorded sessions to watch whenever is convenient.
Getting Ready for EPA training will begin from May 2023 for the following standards: Adult Care (Level 2), Adult Care (Level 3), Healthcare Support Worker (Level 2), Early Years (Level 2) and Early Years (Level 3). Other standards will be added overtime.

Networking
Quarterly Networking Event
Our Quarterly Networking Events are designed to support providers in the delivery of apprenticeships and EPA. The sessions will cover key themes and issues affecting apprenticeships and provide an opportunity to explore good practice and discuss issues with fellow practitioners.
For the remainder of 2023 we plan to run four sessions which cover the following themes:
- Reviewing the Apprenticeship Accountability Framework and what this means for you.
- Practical advice and strategies for teaching and learning.
- Best practice for online learning.
- Looking at approaches to planning the curriculum.

End-point assessment (EPA) support webinars and recordings for providers
These sessions and recordings are available for educators that are new to EPA, those that are already engaged with it or those that are fully established and looking to keep up to date with good practices.
Sector Events
We will be running a number of webinars which will share a high-level overview of Apprenticeship products and services. These events will be aimed at those who would like to understand our full apprenticeship offer in a specific sector.
Rich Feedback and Results Plus
To help you understand learners results in external assessment, our Rich Feedback service for Functional Skills, and Results Plus for GCSE's give you a detailed breakdown of performance strengths and weaknesses so you can effectively target improvement.
